JEB is already a cult comedy figure online. He has starred in more than 60 short films, which have attracted an audience of nearly 100 million people, and scooped several awards, including the Mobile and Internet TV Comedy Award at MIPCOM.

The series is set in and around the eponymous Catchbasin Hall, a large and partially derelict country house somewhere near the Lancashire village of North Uppolshyte. The family who occupy the seat have been gradually demoted through the ranks of the aristocracy and the house and estate have fallen into debt and disrepair.

The current Lord Catchbasin is in prison for 'eating a lady' whilst his wife is mental and, as tradition demands, is locked away in the attic. Their son, the Honourable Jeremy Felching-Bone, has been encumbered with the task of attempting to wrest the estate back from the receivers. Charming but entirely self-serving, he has accepted this chore simply in order to maintain an income for himself rather than through any affection for his family or its history.

His method is to engage with some vulgar venture capitalists who have decreed that the house should be thrown open to the public and promoted as an 'attraction'.

What is soon to become clear is that Catchbasin Hall harbours dark secrets, throwbacks to its Victorian heyday. This Gothic Steampunk underbelly provides a degree of mystery, danger and occasionally death, to the day-to-day operations…

The series is intended as a vehicle for the successful animated JEB IP. It can readily be repurposed away from JEB and has scope for live action production.
