Princess Jeff
Children's animation
Jeff has no idea what he's doing. Plumbing, carpentry, simple odd jobs - they all elude him. But that doesn't stop him from trying. When his rival and nemesis, MJ Bronco sets about demolishing M'Coddle Woods - the theme park on the edge of town - Jeff joins forces with the local kids to defend the tumbledown old kingdom and preserve the legacy of the M'Coddle sisters' beloved entertainment empire.
NOTE: Princess Jeff was conceived as a PG rated outing for the JEB IP (as Princess Jeb).
Willy M'Coddle has spent her life making beautiful movies for children and building M'Coddle woods, themed around the stories and characters of the films. But the industry isn't what it was and the company is teetering on bankruptcy.
M’Coddle Woods is sitting on a valuable deposit of natural gas and Willy's business brained sister, Snolly, intends to start extracting it in order to restore the family's fortunes. The ‘plarping’ process, which involves shoving a big pressure hose underground, causing it to guff out deadly fuffium-tri-plopcide, is to be overseen by MJ Bronco and requires the entire park to be levelled to make room for the gasworks.
Together with Bob and Kitty - two local kids who Jeff has accidentally ended up babysitting - and Prince Alan - Willy's wheelchair bound grandson, Jeff sets out to mount a defence, alongside an unlikely cohort of park employees.
Princess Jeff ticks all of the usual boxes but ups the ante in terms of script, set-up, character, comedy, action and performance - giving it real heart, raising it above many recent contenders in the genre and creating a spiritual link back to the early works, such as Toy Story, Ice Age and Shrek.
