THEY CAME tells an old-fashioned tale of boy meets girl, boy gets mistaken for a Black Ops super-agent, boy is sent screaming through a theoretical wormhole to defeat the alien overlords threatening to destroy the Earth.
THEY CAME has received significant industry interest and has an A-list international cast provisionally attached.
JEB is already a cult comedy figure online. He has starred in more than 60 short films, which have attracted an audience of nearly 100 million people, and scooped several awards, including the Mobile and Internet TV Comedy Award at MIPCOM.
THEY CAME is the second in the planned series of JEB movies, after THE FAME AND THE FURY, and the first in a linked trilogy.
The film is fast-paced, anarchic and inventive; it freely spoofs iconic movies, steals Hollywood tropes and has a great deal of fun unpicking blockbuster clichés, while telling a shamelessly derivative story populated by a highly original cast of incompetent heroes and ridiculous rogues. And it never claims to be more than it is: ninety minutes of intelligent, feel-good, satirical nonsense, with distinct hints of Monty Python and a strong whiff of Douglas Adams.
