Gwi'yambɨ Stan sure lives a wonderful life, up here in the Pacific Northwest. All them neat little towns with their woodpiles, pumpkin beds and fussy flowerpots - they ain’t just nice to look at, they’re also tasty as heck. But the human folk don’t spare much love for beavers like Stan, and they’re busy plotting to send him back to the wild.
In 1948, the Idaho Department of Fish and Game concocted a plan to remove a colony of troublesome beavers from rural communities and literally parachute them into the wilds of the Chamberlain Basin, where they could get back to what they were good at: building dams and helping preserve the wetlands.
Beaver Drop imagines the experience of one such airborne pioneer, as he’s forcibly returned to his roots. Can Stan make it in the wild and find a new home for himself? That’s assuming he survives being nailed into a crate and thrown out of an airplane...
